Our Verdict

They’re not the lightest option at 267g for a UK 10, but the trade-off is noticeable durability, particularly through the reinforced knees and shins. The deep waistband stays comfortably in place without shifting, and the stretch throughout the leg allows unrestricted movement on steep ground. I appreciated the balance between the snug fit and the articulated cut; they feel technical without being restrictive. The thigh pocket is well-placed and handy for small essentials. Moisture management is solid, and they layer cleanly under waterproof trousers in poor weather.

A confident, movement-focused tight with just the right amount of protection for scrambles, climbs, and fast hiking.
