Our Verdict

The Alhena Mountain 25 T-Shirt from Montane blends performance fibres with a soft, natural feel that’s comfortable next to the skin. At 166g for a Medium, it’s light without feeling flimsy, and the mix of recycled polyester, wool and elastane strikes a good balance between wicking, drying time and stretch, suitable for hot days or under a midlayer.

I’ve found the temperature regulation spot on for changeable conditions, and the odour control holds up well across multi-day trips. The Merrow stitching and regular cut keep it comfy and free from rubbing under a pack. The simple mountain graphic on the back is understated, and the crew neck sits neatly without bagging out.
