Our Verdict

TheTentLab’s Deuce #2 UL Trowel is super lightweight but amazingly strong. The weight is kept amazingly low by the use of aerospace-grade aluminium and kept ultra thin. The simple curved design mean that is is low profile and easy to pack away.

The seemingly simple design has subtle additions to make it more effective. With four teeth on the leading edge the trowel is able to cut through roots more easily but it can also be turned upside down so you can use the handle to dig with when you need to add an extra bit of force. Small contours on the handle provide additional grip while the hole through the handle allows you to hang it from you pack with ease.
