Sheets that fit your sleeping mat are particularly useful if you are using a quilt instead of a sleeping bag, and there’s nothing better than using a quilt in the summer. This sheet is particularly lightweight.

Synergy Lite Sheets are designed to wrap your sleeping pad in a lightweight layer of comfort for a great night’s rest. Made ultralight for backpacking and backcountry travel, matching perimeter loops make them ideal for use with Therm-a-Rest backpacking quilts. Along with added comfort, they also protect your sleeping pad from dirt and oils, reducing the need for cleaning and extending the life of your pad. Sewn from premium soft-to-the-touch nylon, Synergy Lite Sheets are machine washable for hassle-free care and available in a range of sizes that fit both rectangular and tapered pads. The coupler size joins two pads together to form one large mattress for backpacking duos.

Our Verdict

Sheets that fit over your sleeping mat like Therm-a-Rest’s Synergy Lite Sheet are brilliant if you are using a quilt as your sleep system, it means you don’t have skin contact with your mat which can be a clammy experience. There is a weight penalty of course but with this being the Lite version its miniscule. As well as being comfortable to the touch a sheet also adds some warmth to the mat and keeps it clean.

We especially like the loops to mate the sheet with your Thermarest quilt, stops it moving around to much in the night.
