Our Verdict

At 297g per shoe (UK 8), the Hydratrek balances a robust sole with enough cushioning to stay comfortable through extended wear, whether moving in and out of water or spending long days on your feet. The Spider Rubber outsole grips confidently on wet stone and muddy banks, with a lug pattern that performs rather than just looking the part.

I appreciated the soft underfoot texture—noticeably better than smoother footbeds when soaked—and the padded straps, which do their job well, with no hotspots or rubbing. They’re quick to dry and have a wide forefoot; the extra width offers stability.
