This dish tops the savoury breakfast checklist with exquisite scrambled eggs mixed with cheddar cheese and caramelised red onions. This can be eaten any time of day as an All Day Breakfast, and is a must-take meal when camping or going on extended hikes across Nepal or the Isle of Skye. Add hot water, stir and wait five minutes, you won’t be disappointed.

Preparation: REMOVE THE OXYGEN ABSORBER (Sachet) from inside the pouch. Slowly add up to 155ml hot water, stirring as you pour and then close the bag. Wait 5-8 minutes for the food to rehydrate.

Cold water will suffice, however the re-hydration time is much longer. The oxygen absorber helps maintain product freshness and is non toxic. DO NOT EAT.

Expedition Foods meals have a long shelf life of up to 5 years.

Our Verdict

Expedition Foods offers a good variety of main meals and desserts and a choice of serving sizes with their High Energy (800+ kcal), Regular Serving (450 kcal) and Extreme Energy or Regular Serving for Two (1000 kcal) ranges.

Expedition Foods provides the perfect meal for everyone from extreme athletes to campers and hikers – in fact, anyone who desires great-tasting food on the go.

450cal, 5-8minutes. Too much water, although we only used a rough measure I would try it with less than the recommended amount next time. My meal was soupy but it tasted really nice and the texture was good.
