Our Verdict

MSR’s Munro Bothy 4 uses lightweight 30 denier fabric to provide the its waterproof protection. This type of shelter is brilliant in use, with a person at each end providing the support, sitting on waterproof nylon ‘seats’, the protection it affords is amazing – when its blowing a gale outside with wind and rain, inside is remarkably still, dry and warms up very quickly.

The chimney vents provide excellent ventilation whilst still making sure that you are 100% protected from the weather.

Billed as an emergency shelter its just as useful during a lunch-break when the weather’s bad.
