The Geon is an ideal all-rounder for cool to cold conditions. This simple, lightweight, warm glove is great for general purpose use.

Our new Geon Glove is ideal for hill walking, scrambling and long, cold approaches to the rockface. It is built from soft Thermic™ fleece with a comfortable brushed back and integrated elastane for improved fit and dexterity. As a fabric we use frequently in our fast-wicking first layers, it provides great insulation in the wet, as well as dry all-day comfort when the work rate increases. Hydrophobic and highly breathable, the new glove also features minimised seams for reduced friction when used beneath an outer glove, as well as an adjustable wrist strap for a secure, draught-free fit.

Fast-drying and versatile, the new Geon Glove is a lightweight, year-round crossover piece, providing both technical mountain utility and accessible everyday warmth.

Our Verdict

Rab’s Geon Gloves are a light, comfortable glove that’s perfect for general use. The stretchy Thermic fleece fabric gives you warmth and some weather protection. This versatile and durable material is worth the weight over lighter alternatives.

These gloves do a good job in regulating heat more effectively than normal, traditional fleece. It allows excess heat to escape when things warm up but in colder conditions that warm air can be trapped in to keep you warm. It is also really good at wicking moisture and dries pretty quickly too so it works really well for a range of outdoor activities.
