Outdoor Research’s popular Ferrosi Pant has had some small improvements but hasn’t lost it’s award winning fabric or any it’s key features that made it a super-light, super-stretchy softshell that’s really comfortable to wear.

The classic Ferrosi bottoms were improved with new designs and more functional features that make them better than ever for climbing and multi-sport. Plus, an updated ecofriendly fabric that is 45% recycled nylon with improved stretch and recovery for multi-day use.

Our Verdict

Outdoor Research’s Ferrosi Pants are extremely lightweight yet rugged pants that breathe incredibly well. The stretch fabric will move comfortably with your body, no matter what the activity and is not as rough as most soft shell’s so it feels comfortable against your skin.

This updated version still keeps it’s award winning fabric but has been redesigned elsewhere with a more modern slim fit, reinforced durability in key high wear areas, functional climbing specific features and versatile design details that transition easily from street to summit.
