Our Verdict

The Osprey Aura AG LT 65 is a brilliantly engineered rucksack that will suit those with a heavier kit list. At 1747g (S/M), it’s not aiming for the ultralight crowd but excels as a load-hauler for more demanding trips. As you’d expect from Osprey, it’s well built and thoughtfully designed, with a suspended back system fully integrated into the hipbelt. This is one of the most comfortable packs I’ve used — the women’s specific fit is well-shaped, especially through the harness and hipbelt, providing a close, stable carry.

The lightweight frame transfers weight smoothly onto the hips, keeping strain off your back and shoulders. The mesh trampoline-style back panel encourages airflow and keeps you cooler on climbs. I rate the wide, cushioned shoulder straps and the Fit-on-the-Fly hipbelt, which allows for precise adjustment on the go.

There’s no dedicated pole stow system, which feels like a miss, and the lower compression straps can block access to water bottles when fully cinched. Still, features like the removable lid, large shove-it pocket, and side zip access make this a versatile and practical pack for longer missions.
