The Talon 26 is a streamlined top-loader with the cargo space and features you need for peak bagging and bikepacking. An injection-molded AirScape® backpanel and a continuous-wrap harness and hipbelt allow the pack to move with you whether you’re hiking or biking. This lightweight pack features a hydration reservoir sleeve and trekking pole, ice axe attachment points. Constructed with high-quality bluesign®-approved recycled high-tenacity nylon with a PFC-free DWR coating.

Our Verdict

The updated Talon 26 continues to hit that sweet spot between low weight and excellent carry comfort. Weighing just 1088g, it’s well suited for day hikes, bikepacking, or even lightweight overnights with minimalist gear. The new injection-moulded AirScape back panel adds structure without bulk, and the BioStretch harness and hipbelt keep the pack stable while flexing naturally with movement.

The fit is close and breathable, and the back length adjusts easily via a sliding buckle system. The main compartment is accessed through a wide top opening, with a stretch front stash pocket and two fabric hipbelt pockets for easy access to essentials. I also liked the “Stow-on-the-Go” trekking pole attachment and internal hydration sleeve — although accessing the bladder compartment can feel fiddly in a rush.

My only gripe is with the compression straps running over the side mesh pockets, making it awkward to grab a water bottle on the go if you’ve cinched things down tight.

The newly updated helmet carry bar is slimmer and now holds climbing helmets securely — not just bike helmets — making it far more versatile for mixed mountain use.

A lightweight, low-profile pack that moves well with the body — perfect for anyone who likes to travel light and move fast.
