 A featherweight headlamp that delivers serious features in an ultralight format.

Nitecore says: 

The Nitecore NU25 MCT UL has a maximum output of 400 lumens from a built-in 700mAh Li-ion battery. The headlamp is rechargeable via a USB-C port and comes with a charging cable.

Designed with two buttons (power button and mode button) with different touch and shape offering simple one-handed operation.

The headlamp comes with dual primary lights both with three colour temperatures: 3000K warm white, 4500K neutral white light and 6500K cool white light. This makes the headtorch perfect for all outdoor activities such as, night runs, hikes, camping and so much more.

The NU25 MCT UL was designed to be super lightweight weighting in at only 47g. It also features a reflective, glow in the dark headband for safety at night.

The NU25 MCT UL has an IP rating of 66, so is safe to use in bad weather.

Our Verdict

The NU25 MCT UL packs an impressive amount of functionality into a 47g package. With warm, neutral, and cool white outputs, plus a red light mode, it adapts well to different conditions, from campsite admin to early alpine starts.

I’m particularly impressed by the versatility of the beam options and the fact that it’s USB-C rechargeable with a simple two-button interface. The low-profile headband holds securely, and the glow-in-the-dark detail is surprisingly helpful. At 400 lumens on high, the beam reaches far enough for cautious night navigation, while lower settings conserve battery without feeling dim. The IP66 rating means it’s fully dustproof and can handle heavy rain from any angle, so I wouldn’t hesitate to use it in poor weather., lockout function, and diffuser sack round out a very well-considered design.
