Our Verdict

At 73g, the NexTool Multi Functional Pen Tool offers a clever blend of features in a slim, pen-like format. The folding scissors are surprisingly effective—more than up to trimming tape or patch material—and the small blade is ideal for light-duty tasks like slicing cord or opening packaging. The built-in torch, with both low and high settings, is bright enough for close work or quick camp checks, and the Type-C charging is a nice upgrade from older micro USB setups.

It’s not intended to replace a full multitool, and the tools don’t lock, so some care is needed. But it works well as a day-to-day option or a travel-friendly addition to a minimalist kit.
