Each Gill features an interior and an exterior zipper with a draft-blocking intermediate layer, allowing several different configurations for dialing in the bag`s temperature without direct exposure to cold air. Our Blanket Fold™ draft collar at the neckline features a redesigned size and shape to further optimize sleep temperature. Tucked in, the Blanket Fold defiantly blocks any chill while mimicking the comfort of your bed at home. Pushed out, it helps dump excess heat instantly.

Finally, Disco`s revamped design has baffles insulated with water-resistant, RDS-certified down, placed vertically along the torso for comfort and aligned horizontally below the waist to prevent down migration. Along with this suite of top features, Disco now boasts the purpose-driven Endless Promise® designation, meaning it was designed specifically to stay out of the landfill and on the trail, forever. With a shell manufactured fully from PET, this sleeping bag is 100% recyclable at the end of its life — just send it back to NEMO, and we`ll handle the rest.

Our Verdict

The Nemo Disco 30F is a staple in the backpacking world for good reason. Its iconic Spoon shape provides exceptional comfort for those who sprawl, turn, or curl through the night. Unlike more restrictive mummy bags, the Disco feels natural to move in. At the same time, the 650FP hydrophobic down delivers dependable warmth down to -1°C, with well-placed baffles that help regulate loft and prevent cold spots.

The updated Thermo Gill vents offer noticeable control over overnight warmth, particularly useful in spring and autumn. The waterproof footbox is always a nice touch, and as someone who uses a lot of single-skin tents, something I’m always pleased to see. The oversized draft collar is well-designed, adding warmth and comfort. The inclusion of features like a pillow sleeve and internal stash pocket rounds out an already polished package.

At 868g (Regular), it isn’t the lightest, but the comfort and flexibility justify the weight for those not chasing ultralight numbers. Materials are now 100% recycled, and the Endless Promise design means the bag is fully recyclable at the end of its life.
