Our Verdict

The update to the Dagger OSMO 2P is a quiet triumph. Thanks to a revised pole structure, the tent now offers more headroom at the doors and centre, improving comfort, especially when sitting up or moving inside. The expanded vestibules are also a welcome change, giving just enough extra space to manage wet kit without feeling cramped.

At 1548g (excluding pegs and bags), it’s not the lightest in its class, but it earns its weight with excellent liveability. The pre-bent aluminium poles make pitching quick and intuitive, and the new Axial anchors are a clever touch – genuinely usable one-handed. The OSMO fabric continues to impress: durable, eco-conscious, and resistant to sag in damp conditions. It’s held up well in persistent rain and has remained taut overnight.

Inside, the Nightlight Pockets are more than a gimmick – they create a warm, diffuse glow that’s great for reading or winding down. The Landing Zone gear tub in the porch is another detail I didn’t realise I needed until I used it — it keeps kit dry and organised without having to drag it all inside the inner, especially in foul weather.
