Whether you’re camping on hard snow or just want a really burly tent stake the MSR Blizzard Stake is up for the job. Drive the Blizzard stake into the ground vertically or sling the holes and bury it as a deadman anchor when you’re winter camping.

The broad profile of this tent stake is ideal for holding well in sand or snow. Constructed of lightweight 7000-series aluminum, the Blizzard tent stake offers strength and holding power in conditions that can cause other stakes to fail. The stake can also be used as a deadman anchor.

Our Verdict

If you will be camping on snow or perhaps sand or loose ground etc.. you will need something like this to pitch your shelter. If you are unsure of the ground you might be camping on then three or four of these could be worth carrying supported by other ultralight pegs.
