The Versalite is a lightweight, versatile pack that is ideal for going fast and light, whether you’re making a quick push for a summit or out for a day hike this is a great pack.

Our Verdict

Montbell’s Versalite Pack 15 is a super lightweight pack that is more durable and practical than many of the other packs around this weight. It weighs just 104g and packs down into the lid pocket for storage when not in use. The main compartment is a good size for storing extra layers, food and water, plus any extras like maps, camera’s and other bits for your day out. The 30D fabric is surprisingly hardwearing for a pack at this weight.

With such a low weight the shoulder straps have no padding so heavy loads are not the most comfortable. In reality, that’s not what this pack is designed for an the wide, breathable mesh straps do a great job of spreading the load and remaining breathable no matter how much it heats up.
