Our Verdict

The Montbell Neige Down Parka is a versatile, lightweight insulation piece. Weighing just 395 grams (medium), it offers an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio thanks to its 800 Fill Power EX Down insulation. The “skip-stitch” quilting pattern reduces cold spots and prevents down migration,  while the durable 20-denier Ballistic nylon ripstop outer shell provides wind resistance.

Key features include a 2-way adjustable hood, micro-fleece lined collar, and four pockets for ample storage. The parka compresses to 15 x 25cm with the included stuff sack, making it highly packable for backcountry adventures. A water-repellent finish adds versatility, though it’s unsuitable for heavy rain.
