The Bach Molecule 30 Pack is a lightweight, modular backpack for hikers. It has a roll-top closure, removable components, daisy chains, and padded shoulder straps.

Molecule 30L is our new lightweight hiking backpack for men and women with roll-top closure with zipper, modular straps and hip belt pockets. It is designed for more experienced users who like to pack ultralight. Its modular attachment options for equipment and sophisticated back system make it the ideal companion for short weekend hikes as well as long trekking. In the need of more volume – its roll-top closure allows you to add 7 liters. To save some grams you can easily remove the waist belt pockets or compression straps.

Our Verdict

The Bach Molecule 30 Pack is a versatile, lightweight backpack for hikers prioritising ultralight gear. With a weight of 1004g and a volume of 30L (expandable to 37L), it strikes an excellent balance between capacity and weight savings.

This pack shines in its modularity and adaptability. The roll-top closure with zipper allows for easy expansion, while removable components like waist belt pockets and compression straps offer further customisation options. The four daisy chains provide versatile attachment points, enhancing the pack’s flexibility for various trip types.

Comfort hasn’t been sacrificed for weight savings. The padded back panel features a central air channel and air mesh for ventilation, while the padded shoulder straps with quick-adjust chest straps ensure a secure fit. The hip belt, with removable stretch mesh and water-resistant pockets, adds stability and convenience.

The pack’s durability is addressed through the use of 500D CORDURA® Nylon on the bottom and 210D Ripstop Robic Nylon for the main body. Its eco-credentials are noteworthy, with 100% recycled main shell fabric and a PFC-free water-repellent treatment.
