The Tenacity Lite Shorts are hard-wearing, all-purpose outdoor shorts with a slightly longer cut than standard shorts, making them perfect for scrambling and rock climbing.

Montane says: 

The Tenacity Shorts are designed with mountain walking and backpacking in mind. Made using Granite Stretch fabric throughout, these shorts offer superior abrasion and wind resistance for wild days up high. An athletic fit provides greater freedom of movement, while an integrated webbing belt and zipped fly keep the shorts secure. Two mesh-lined hand pockets and a rear zipped pocket offer ample storage for essentials.

Our Verdict

They are not the lightest shorts but are hard-wearing and durable. They do a good job of blocking out the wind to keep you comfortable; the low-profile integrated belt makes these good all-around, all-purpose shorts for any outdoor use, but especially good for rock climbing and scrambling.

They have two zipped hand-warming pockets and a discreet rear pocket for keys or a bank card.
