Our Verdict

At just 37g, the Lithium Add-on Shoulder Harness Pocket S is a simple, well-made option for keeping essentials close to hand. I’ve mainly use harness pockets for my phone; however, this one is a little snug—best to check your dimensions or size up if you’re in doubt, as Mammut also offers Medium and Large versions. The fleece lining is a thoughtful touch that adds a bit of protection, especially useful for things like glasses or a compact camera.

It attaches easily to a shoulder strap or hipbelt and stays put while walking, without bouncing or rubbing. The water-resistant fabric adds a bit of peace of mind in damp conditions, though I wouldn’t rely on it alone in a downpour.
