Our Verdict

Lightweight warmth with excellent airflow and a close athletic fit. The Aenergy Light ML Hooded Jacket at 201g (Medium) delivers streamlined performance in a minimalist package. The Polartec Power Grid fleece fabric strikes a strong balance between warmth and breathability, with a textured interior that helps regulate temperature during high-output use. The athletic fit feels close but not restrictive; however, layering over bulkier garments could be limited.

The hood fits neatly under a helmet or shell, and flatlock seams ensure a comfortable fit over extended wear. The bonded chest pocket is well-placed and low-profile, although storage is minimal; I found moisture built up behind this panel. This latest version features a slightly lighter build and improved sustainability, thanks to its high content of recycled polyester.
