aLOKSAK bags are resealable element-proof storage bags featuring a hermetic seal. That means absolutley no water, air, dust or humidity permeates the closure. The transparent bags are flexible, puncture resistant and designed for a wide range of applications and environments.

The aLOKSAK is an element-proof storage bag that prevents leakage and preserves items against damage from water, air, dust and humidity. These bags are made of a durable polyethylene blended film and are 100% water/air tight. They are considered disposable though, unlike other 100% water/air tight bags, they can be opened and resealed numerous times. Great for small phones like the iPhone 4 without a case and other small valuables.

Our Verdict

There would seem to be nothing much to say about a re-sealable bag – but there is! I’ve been keeping my phone in one for the past month – taking it in and out of pockets and bags constantly, opening and closing it about once a day to charge the phone. Result? – The bag still has a watertight/airtight seal.

So, a bag is not just a bag. There’s no comparison between one of these aLokSaks and the re-sealable bags you buy for the freezer – the seal is much more effective and durable for a start, and the bag itself is made from a higher grade of material so its a lot tougher. The seal is easy to open as the back is offset from the front (you’ll know what I mean when you see one).

There is a comparison to be made with other phone and iPad cases that fill the shelves currently – aLokSaks are lighter, cheaper and just as airtight.

Finally on product life; it may be that aLokSaks don’t last as long as more bespoke products, but when they wear out its no hardship to get another one, and I have no doubt that they will last the length of your trip however far and for however long you roam.
