Our Verdict

The Leatherman Raptor Rescue is a highly specialised tool made with medics and rescue teams in mind. At 161g, it folds down small but packs in sharp shears, a strap cutter, a ring cutter, and a glass breaker. Everything feels solid in hand, even with gloves, and the holster makes access quick and safe.

It’s not something I’d carry on a regular hike, but if rescue or trauma care is part of your kit list, it’s a smart, purpose-built choice.
