Our Verdict

The Julbo Ultimate Reactiv 0-3 High Contrast sunglasses feel like they were built for mountain movement. At just 29g, they’re featherlight but sit securely thanks to the CustomFIT temples and 3D-adjustable nosepiece. I appreciated how stable they felt on rough descents, even when sweaty or moving quickly. The photochromic lenses impressed me — the shift from nearly clear to category 3 happened quickly, which made transitions through tree cover and exposed ridgelines seamless.
