Pieces of fabric and zip pullers with which to repair your tent should you need to – not a comprehensive kit by any means and you will perhaps also need adhesive or a needle and thread.

Hilleberg says

On longer trips and those to more remote locations, being able to repair your equipment is crucial. Hilleberg Repair Kits are designed with this in mind, and contain swatches of outer tent, floor, inner tent, and inner tent mesh fabrics, as well as inner and outer tent zipper sliders. Also included are instructions on general tent maintenance, pole repair, zipper repair, and patching tent fabric.

Black Label, Red Label and Yellow Label Kits are available, each in either red, green, or sand versions. They are meant to complement the pole repair sleeve and spare pole section that comes with your tent and your own personal equipment maintenance items. The Kits do not include needles, thread and other repair tools, nor do they contain Seam Grip + SIL (formerly SilNet) or Seam Grip + WP (formerly SeamGrip), both of which are good to include in your personal repair toolkit, and are sold separately.

Our Verdict

Hilleberg’s Repair Kit for Yellow Label tents comprise pieces of the various fabrics used to construct the tent and zip sliders. A good addition to this might have been some outdoor fabric adhesive to use on the patches although Hilleberg talk about using a needle and thread in their blurb.
