The Hestra Hydra Seam Sealed Mitts are waterproof and windproof winter mitts with a grippy palm, long cuff, and snowlock cinch. They work well as an outer layer over a base glove liner and are simple but effective.

Hestra says: 

A functional shell glove in 3-layer polyamide with taped seams. Perfect as a windproof and waterproof over glove on top of a base glove in wet weather. Also works excellently when partnered with many of Hestra’s removable liners. Easy to roll up in a pocket or rucksack when not in use, ready to bring out when the wind gets up and the heavens open. Long cuff with snowlock and grip-friendly print on palm. Size guide: Only available in sizes 7, 9 and 11. If you wear a size 7 glove normally, choose a size 7 shell glove. If you wear a size 8 glove normally, you will need to go up a size and wear a size 9 shell glove.

The Hestra Hydra Seam Sealed Mitts are highly functional shell mitts designed for outdoor use in wet and windy conditions. Made of a durable 3-layer polyamide material with taped seams, they provide excellent waterproof and windproof protection while allowing moisture to escape. 

These mitts work great as an outer layer over a base glove liner, keeping your hands dry when the weather turns nasty, as they are intended to be used in a layering system, they are oversized by design 

. The long cuff with snowlock cinch keeps out snow, and the mitts can easily be rolled up and stowed when not needed. While fairly basic, they do the job for skiers, hikers, and others requiring a simple waterproof shell mitt.
