The Chair One (re) is a redesign of the original award-winning Chair One, our #1 selling style and the product that defined the category of lightweight, packable furniture. The Chair One (re) seat is even more comfortable due to the adding of a second tension line within the perimeter of the chair to uniquely distribute weight around the frame.

Our Verdict

The Chair One High-Back (re) offers the same quick setup and packability I’ve expected from Helinox, but with welcome upgrades. The taller backrest makes a real difference when you want to lean back and relax, and the updated tension system gives better support without that hammock sag. I also like the sustainable touches—recycled fabric and aluminium. At 1,196g, it’s not ultralight, but it’s a fair trade for the comfort it delivers. For camp comfort with proper back support and thoughtful materials, this is hard to beat.
