The updated GSI Backpackers Mug is still an excellent insulated cup with an optional lid and drinking spout. This new version has an increased capacity and uses recycled materials.

Our Verdict

GSI Outdoors’ Infinity Backpacker Mug is a modern classic. The generous capacity, durable and practical design have made this a hugely popular mug for some time. This new version sees GSI use recycled materials to reduce the environmental impact without losing any quality or features which is obviously a big plus.

The handle and wrap provide a hard wearing layer of insulation around the mug and will keep it going for years, even with heavy outdoor use. The handle provides a good, comfortable grip that is great when you’ve got a mug full of your favourite hot drink. The spill resistant top is a great feature for moving around at camp and it has a sealable spout that is another nice touch. This 550ml version is bigger and better than before so it is a real winner.
