MSR’s Alpine Salet and Pepper Shaker is a moisture-resistant seasoning shaker with a centre divider to keep contents seperate.

MSR says

A tough, BPA-free chamber with center divider accommodates two different spices, and rubber gaskets on all openings keep moisture at bay.

Our Verdict

This is a great size for solo backpackers for anything up to a week – its quite small and each compartment has a good seal. MSR says its water resistant – so I would expect it to keep the contents dry in all weathers – but not if you lose it in a river for a couple of hours.

Getting the ends off to fill it up is quite fiddly so do this at home where possible – this is more about its small size than any design failure though.

Best bit is the weight – just 9g!
