· Wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture through its capillaries and then release it to the outside to avoid evaporative cooling. The Gruezi Bag Biopod DownWool Summer Sleeping Bag is an innovative option for warm-weather outdoor enthusiasts. Its standout feature is the unique DownWool® insulation, blending high-quality down (70%) with wool (30%) for excellent temperature regulation and moisture management.

Temperature-wise, this bag shines in mild conditions. It’s ideal for late spring to early autumn adventures with a comfort rating of 8°C and a comfort limit of 3°C. This balance is primarily thanks to the DownWool® blend, which manages moisture exceptionally well. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture, protecting the down and helping it insulate efficiently.

Weighing 957g for the regular size, it strikes a good balance between comfort and portability. Its comfortable design and mummy shape allow for natural movement during sleep, making it a boon for restless campers.

Cut

An elaborate design provides optimal freedom of movement. The comfort design allows for peaceful sleep even in a mummy shape, as you can turn into a side position with bent legs or rotate within the sleeping bag.

Material & Construction

• Outer and inner fabric: Ultra-light, durable, and recycled 20 denier 380T nylon (100% polyamide), which feels incredibly soft, supple, and silky on the skin. Achieved by pulling the fabric over hot rollers to narrow the pores, making it downproof and impervious to clothes moths while remaining naturally breathable without the usual plastic coating. The pores do not clog, neither due to the biobased BeSoDRY-ECO impregnation nor the sustainable BEMACRON dyes. The outer material is windproof and highly water-repellent.
• Insulation: 445 g DownWool® consisting of 70% high-quality down (90/10 with a fill power of at least 650 cuin) and 30% mechanically refined wool.
• Material composition: Shell 100% polyamide, filling 70% down/30% wool – contains non-textile parts of animal origin.
• RDS-certified down (RDS CU 859743), mulesing-free European sheep wool.
• OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification for all materials used. This label for textiles tested for harmful substances guarantees that the product is safe for health.
• PFC-free: No perfluorinated chemicals are used
