Made from lightweight and packable 210D recycled nylon with adjustable straps that can be used to carry it by hand or over the shoulder and they can also be repositioned to the end of the bag to comfortably carry it on your back. The base and back panel are padded and lined to protect your gear and make carrying more comfortable and the full clamshell opening gives a great overview of contents.

Our Verdict

The Fjallraven High Coast Duffel 22 is excellent for weekend trips and travel. Its 22-litre capacity provides ample room for clothes, toiletries and gear, yet it’s compact enough to carry on flights or stow in a vehicle.

One of the standout features is the versatile carrying options. It has reinforced webbing handles to use as a traditional duffel but also comes with stowable backpack straps with air mesh padding for comfortable carrying as a backpack. This versatility makes it highly convenient for navigating airports and train stations or just walking around your destination hands-free.

The construction is super durable, thanks to the 210D recycled ripstop nylon fabric with a 10,000mm waterproof PU coating. The base is reinforced and padded to protect the contents. I’ve used this bag for several years of air travel and outdoor adventures, and it still looks brand new.

Organisation is excellent, and the full clamshell zippered opening allows you to access the main compartment easily. There are also multiple zippered pockets to keep smaller items organized. The main zipper can be locked as well for added security.
