Expedition Foods says
A much-loved Thai dish consisting of tender chicken, fluffy rice, peas, mixed peppers and onions fused with coconut milk, green chilli and lemongrass. This best-selling dish is great at home, on a remote island in the Maldives or anywhere else that takes your fancy…simple to prepare, just add hot water, stir and wait five minutes.
Preparation: Remove the oxygen absorber (sachet) from inside the pouch. Slowly add up to 260ml hot water, stirring as you pour and then close the bag. Wait 5-8 minutes for the food to rehydrate.
Cold water will suffice in an emergency, however the re-hydration time is much longer. The oxygen absorber helps maintain product freshness and is non toxic. Do not eat.
Expedition Foods meals have a long shelf life of up to 5 years.

| STAFF’S TASTE TEST – If you don’t normally have a starter try a cup-a-soup with crackers to boost the meal. I added 260ml boiling water and resealed the bag – left it wrapped in a down jacket for the full 8 minutes. Tasted absolutely delicious and it has big chunks of chicken in it – not just chicken flavouring – reconstituted well. Tasted like Thai Green Curry but not very strong. The peas hadn’t fully reconstituted but they still tasted like peas just a bit crunchy. Very impressed! |
