Our Verdict

The Montbell Ultralight Travel Umbrella weighs a mere 89g, making it incredibly portable. It’s shocking how small this is. Its quick-drying polyester canopy has been treated with a hydrophobic finish, ensuring raindrops roll off effortlessly, keeping you dry in unexpected showers.

The carbon 6-rib construction strikes the perfect balance between sturdiness and weight, providing stability without adding bulk. Folding up into a compact size of 9.8 inches, it easily slips into a backpack, suitcase, or handbag.  Its open diameter of 34.6 inches offers ample coverage to shield you from rain or harsh sun. 

This is a brilliant “in case of emergency” product, but not necessarily something I would take hiking with me if I expected rain.
