Our Verdict

The Osprey Ozone 4-Wheel Carry-On 38L strikes an impressive balance between structure and minimalism. It feels reassuringly solid at just under 2.5 kg thanks to the updated aluminium frame and hardwearing recycled nylon shell. The four-wheel chassis handles surprisingly well over uneven ground—better than expected for such a pared-back design—and the integrated grab handles make it easy to hoist or slide into tight spaces.

Internally, the layout is clean and functional, with just enough compartmentalisation to separate electronics from clothing without overcomplicating things. The 16-inch laptop sleeve is always welcome, and the coated zip construction offers decent weather protection without adding bulk. The new monopole handle is an interesting touch—lighter than a dual bar.
