Our Verdict

The DD SuperLight Frontline Hammock seems to be a well-designed and versatile camping hammock intended for adventures where low weight is important. This is a lightweight option compared to many camping hammocks at just 917g total weight, including the suspension system. The use of ripstop nylon helps keep weight down.

A built-in fine mesh bug net that protects against mosquitoes and other insects is an excellent convenience compared to needing a separate net accessory. The included spreader poles allow you to open up the hammock for a roomier interior, or you can use just one pole or sticks to reduce weight and packed size. The multiple internal pockets are also handy for storing small items. The whoopie sling suspension seems designed for easy tensioning and setup in the field.

General care

• Over time repeated fold lines can start to weaken the fine material of your DD SuperLight gear. To pack away, we always recommend ‘stuffing’ your DD SuperLight gear into its bag instead.
• To preserve the strength of the material, avoid folding along the same lines too frequently (change after 10 times)
