The DD Hammocks DD Soft Shackle Karabiner is a lightweight and packable alternative to regular karabiners. Made from strong Amsteel cord, they can support up to 125kg.

Our Verdict

At only 6g a pair, these super strong shackles are great for use in lightweight hammock suspension setup, but also perfect for a range of uses that may require a karabiner. Made with 2.5mm amsteel cord, these shackles are incredibly strong and are suitable for use in suspension for anyone up to 125kg.

It’s definitely worth watching the product video attached to see how they work, as I spent a good few minutes fiddling with them before I figured it out. But once you’ve got it you’ll kick yourself for missing it in the first place.
