The Blue Ice Bluebird is a light, sturdy ice axe ideal for classic alpinism and steep snow/ice climbs. It has a hot-forged stainless steel pick and adze and an aircraft-grade aluminum shaft.

The Bluebird ice axe is the most versatile and robust in our range, designed for steep snow or ice slopes. Its 356g intended for the practice of classic alpinism offer very good anchoring qualities. Its aircraft-grade aluminum handle is sanded for better grip.

The tip and head of the axe are made of stainless steel and hot-forged with an anti-corrosion treatment, offering high resistance even with intensive use. It is assembled at the foot of the Mont Blanc.

The Blue Ice Bluebird is a robust, exceptionally well-designed ice axe ideal for classic alpinism and steep snow/ice climbs. Weighing under 450g, it strikes an impressive balance of being light enough for efficient mountain travel yet burly enough. The hot-forged stainless steel pick and adze are built to withstand heavy chopping, while the curved aircraft-grade aluminium shaft provides clearance.

What sets the Bluebird apart is its meticulous attention to detail and ergonomics. The handle has dual texturing for maximum grip security, the sliding pommel prevents gaping, and the pick protector keeps the spike sharp. 

Assembled in the alpine mecca of Chamonix, this is a rock-solid B-rated axe that meets all CE/EN 13089 certifications.
