The Leanweight MSC Kit is an add on Mesh for OMM packs that enables you to compress your pack and with the stretch mesh use it to stash gear that needs to be handy for quick access; waterproofs, helmet, map etc. 

OMM says

A compressor for stashing everything from helmets to waterproofs or a dry bag full of quick access items that fits to the outside of all OMM packs. Multiple compression and attachment points on each side ensure even distribution of compression. Stretch mesh allows the compressor to take shape over items for a secure carry.
